"Diamonds in the Landscape"
06th September 2009
In 2009 the 14 UK National Parks and 49 Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty are jointly celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Act of Parliament that created them – the National Parks and Access to the Countryside Act 1949, with their "Diamonds in the Landscape" promotion
The Snowdonia National Park is the second largest National Park in England and Wales and the second oldest acquiring National Park status in 1951.
I was recently approached by a regional magazine based in Abersoch to provide images for an article they were producing in their Autumn issue on the Snowdonia National Park which is right on their doorstep.
I am pleased to say that five images were used in the published magazine which are shown below. Of the five only the first image is at present in the Snowdonia Gallery for sale however should anyone be interested in acquiring prints of the others then please contact me on info@britishlandscapes.com.
This publication follows an earlier article incorporating other images of Snowdonia published in the Snowdonia Society magazine titled "Changing perceptions of the Snowdonia Landscape".
The images in the order shown from top left to bottom right are of the Snowdon Horseshoe, Llyn Tegid or Bala lake, Llyn Ogwen & Tryfan, the Mawddach Estuary and Llyn Vyrnwy.
