St.Cwyfan's Church-in-the-Sea
![]() Situated on a tiny island, St Cwyfan's church was re-built in the 12th century. Some Norman masonary remains in the South wall, however the main body is 14th century. The arched, braced roof is partly 16th century and the outer surrounding walls have been added more recently. Twice a day, the lonely and isolated church is separated from the mainland by the rising tide. The church may be visited at low tide and services are held, tide and weather permitting, on the first Sunday of June and August.
