Garlieston Bay

A Galloway coastal fishing village and port Garlieston is on the East coast of The Machars. The port became an important import point for goods being brought into The Machars throughout the nineteenth and early twentieth century.
During the Second World War the village became part of the "most secret" Mulberry Harbour project.
