Loch Ard with Ben Lomond in the background is fresh water and acts as the source of the River Forth. It is situated east of Aberfoyle and is in three parts with the most westerly and biggest being headed by the village of Kinlochard. The Loch lies in the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park.
